Chapter 887 of the Vietnam Veterans of America proudly salutes our very own E Ralph Milward, a founding member of Chapter 887. Following a childhood beset by difficult circumstances, Ralph entered the US Army in 1959, assigned to Ft Lenoard Wood, then to Ranger school at Ft Benning, Ga, and went Airborne in 1960. His first overseas assignment was to Camp Mercer in Korea, where he was attached to 1st SF Group training ROK Airborne. Following assignments to Germany and various stateside locations,, he traveled by troop ship to Vietnam with the !st Infantry Division, serving as an infantry Platoon Sgt. Promoted to Warrant Officer, Ralph returned to Korea and Fort Benning.
Ralph has held numerous positions in VVA 887, including two terms as President and numerous terms as Secretary.  Ralph is also active in the Special Forces Assn, the DAV, and the VFW.
